Look, I get it.
As a woman in business, there are a hundred, if not a thousand things on your TODO list.
And a zillion other ideas rattling around in your brain for attention
Kids, or perhaps grandkids, bouncing about the house
Clamoring for dinner, or rather snacks and munchies
Or perhaps you have a full time job, that just sucks up so much of your energy…
And you wonder when and how, or if ever….
You’ll ever be able to grow your dream business.
I get it. I really do.
I’ve been there.
Sometimes it feels like I still am!!! (I’ll save that rant for another day!)
But here’s what I realize – it’s a choice.
It’s a choice I make every day.
To prioritize my business, because it’s my soul work, it’s my life’s calling.
Or to prioritize the dirty dishes, and the clothes lying about the floor.
And some days, the dishes and the clothes win over business. Yes, they do!
But some days, I put my foot down and say, “Reclaiming my time” 😉 (did you see that video? LOVED how the ‘gentle lady’ reclaimed her time!)
Some days, some weeks, I choose to prioritize my business.
And that’s ok.
In fact, I need to. I’m a single mom. Sole bread winner. No support.
Now, you don’t have to be a single mom, or bread winner, to reclaim your time.
I just want you to know it’s ok to prioritize your business.
To put your foot down and say, “This is for me. This is what I want”. To tell the kids, or the spouse, or the friends, that you want and you need a little time for yourself, for your business.
And it’s also perfectly fine to say – hey, my business isn’t really a priority for me right now. I’d rather focus on XYZ.
Whatever gets your goat really.
As long as it is a conscious decision.
As long as it’s a choice.
As long as it’s not procrastination.
As long as it’s not hiding.
What do you choose today?
